Kampala International University woodball team has been barred from taking part in the ongoing National woodball league after failing to pay registration fee amounting to Shs400,000 for both male and female teams.
John Baptist Kateregga, the league manager said KIU is a good club but must obey with the rules as stipulated just like the other clubs.
“Atleast they would have paid half to show commitment. But not even a coin was dropped on our account. This is so sad.” Kateregga noted.
He advised the team managers to look into the said issue to enable the good talents maintain the current ranking that they have with the federation.
Currently KIU is ranked 3rd on the national league and was represented by two players who were never facilitated by the university in the just concluded world cup. The two players;Gwaka Brian and Nagaba Charity managed to bring medals to team Uganda.
