The Vice President of Uganda Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi has this afternoon flagged off 99 young men and women to go and look for greener pastures abroad.
This was at a function that was held at Middle East Consultants Limited head offices in Muyenga where Ssekandi advised those going to always work with positive hearts of marketing Uganda to the outside world.
The Vice President said that if those who go keep a good reputation in places where they are employed, they will give a chance for other Ugandans who have stayed home also to get employment due to the good name created.
“When you go abroad,you will be exposed to new culture,working skills and many more new things in your lives. Please take good use of these and stay informed.” Ssekandi advised.
The Vice President also urged parents to be careful when they receive money from their children by not misusing it.
He explained that many get tempted after receiving the money in the act of investing it to gain more profits which at times ends up as a loss.
On the same function,The Managing Director of Middle East Consultants Limited, Gordon Mugyenyi revealed that his organization has prospects of setting up an academy to train the youth seeking foreign employment to acquire the required skills to suit the demand and further said they intend to expand their scope of operation to Western Europe, America and Canada.
A company that started in 2003,Middle East Consultancy has managed to recruit over 12000 to foreign employment.
