The Mayor of Ntungamo Municipality Jacob Kafureeka has rooted for justice and accountability amongst local council chairpersons while executing their duties if they are to be trusted by the electorate.
Mayor Kafureeka alias Jack Jex noted that LCs should exhibit the spirit of transparency and handle well the LC official stamps rather than using them to ill deals which put them at risk of being apprehended.
He made remarks today while officiating at the official handing over office tools including LC stamps to all 26 local council chairpersons in Ntungamo Municipality held in the Municipal council hall.
Jack Jex warned some LCs who stubbornly refused to hand in their stamps after losing the elections and assured the incoming LC Ones that the Municipality will introduce one official LC stamp but bearing various names of each villages.
Present were assistant town clerks, chairpersons of the division and political leaders.
