A team of 60 male and 8 female boxers have appeared for fitness test at Lugogo in preparation for the forth coming East African Community games.
According to Phillip Munaabi,Special duties office of the president Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) the sportsmen are in good shape and shall return back on Friday 20th July 2018 where after a serious non residential training will commence.
The games shall take place at Bujumbura where countries like Kenya, Tanzania,Rwanda,Kigali and Burundi shall take part.
This comes as a milestone for the Ugandan boxers as UBF President Moses Muhangi tries to bring boxing to where it used to be.
Muhangi is one man who has managed to give a platform for the Ugandan boxers to participate in various boxing challenges where many have gained confidence and experience.
