Ugandan Universities have dominated the ongoing Federation of African Sports University (FASU) games that are booming in Ethiopia.
Uganda was represented by various universities in the all Africa games,which have proven to be not only strong here in the country but also on the globe.
Makerere , Ndejje, Uganda Christian University, are among the institutions that went to play in games of badminton, netball,volleyball,handball among many more.
In team events so far, UCU men have scooped silver medals as the ladies won gold in table tennis.
UCU women have also won gold in individual doubles.
UCU managed to beat Mauritius 2-0 to advance to finals in badminton as the ladies beat the University of Mekelle from Ethiopia to advance to the finals.
Makerere and Ndejje are still battling out in other sports events to enable them win more medals for the country.
It should be noted that Kampala International university (KIU) was given a chance with two slots but the university failed to sponsor the tickets of its players.
The president of Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) Penina Kabenge,also the sports tutor for Makerere University said that she is proud to mention that Ugandans are playing well and expect good results.
