Police in Kabale district is hunting for suspects who allegedly lynched a person of a Rwandan national to death.
The decease has been identified as Charles Somalia a resident of Rukomo village ,Nyagatare district –Rwanda.
He was lynched on the evening 11/06/18 Omukalere market, Mukochi cell, Kahondo parish Maziba subcounty Kabale district
It was a market day and many of the Rwandese come therein and are said to have been drinking at Maliza’s bar where they developed a misunderstanding amongst themselves, the deceased tried to run but was chased, overpowered and stoned to death meters away from the trading centre.
According to the Kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate, Police visited the scene and the body was picked and taken to Kabale referral hospital for postmortem as efforts to to arrest suspects are underway.
This case is registerd at Kabale central piolice station file number SD 102/11/06/2018.
