Police in Rukiga district is investigating circumstances under which two people were allegedly murdered. They were both murdered last night in Bukinda Sub County at different places.
One of the murdered has been identified as Javais Ndihihi 55 years, a resident of Ibasho cell , Highland ward Muhanga town council, who was murdered and dumped at a washing bay at Bukinda trading centre and a case has been registered at Rukiga district police file number SD 03/21/05/18 .
The second one is Joshua Bandonda 25 years of Bugarama cell Kandago parish Bukyinda sub county who was lynched to death by a mob at Kabimbiri trading centre in Kirimbe cell Kandago parish on allegation that stole someone’s phone and the case has been registered at Rukiga police file number SD 08/21/05/18 .
Police visited both scenes and Postmortem were carried out.
The Kigezi region police spokesperson , Elly Maate has condemned the killings.
