A team of eleven swimmers is set to dig medals for Uganda from Malawi the Cana Zone IV swimming championship.
The flag off ceremony was at Gems Cambridge International School Butabika where the team coach Peter Kasujja promised to focus on individual performance.
It is a key note that the team that traveled is too small as compared to competitors South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe ,Angola and Malawi the hosts to enable them gain good points for the top slots.
Kirabo Namutebi and Tendo Mukalazi are some of the strong arms for team Uganda due to the fact that their history speaks for itself.
Kirabo Namutebi in one female who won the Uganda’s only Silver medals and a bronze in Zimbabwe during last year’s edition.
However Tendo Mukalazi the brother to Namutebi is one big bro who needs to disprove the sister that he can also do better for the country.
The team was flagged off by the assistant General Secretary for the National Council of Sports (NCS) Dr Patrick Ogwel who promised wonders to whoever athlete that shall bring a medal back home.
From today 21st,the tourney shall go on until 24thof March 2018 at Lilongwe Malawi.
