Just hours before being sacked as IGP, Gen Kale Kayihura signed off reshuffles of police commanders.
In the reshuffles made on March 3, which were carried out across all police departments in most regions across the country, 53 commanders were transferred, and Kayihura said another reorganization would be made shortly after this unfortunately President Yoweri Museveni did not wait for him to accomplish his mission.
In his last shake-up, Assistant Commissioner of Police, or ACP, Siraj Bakaleke, who was the Regional Police Commander (RPC) Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) East, was sent to Central Police Station (CPS) as the acting Commissioner of Police (CP), Political Education.
ACP Polly Namaye and CP Fred Enanga were moved from the police Press Unit to CPS as assistant commissioners of police, Information and Publications.
