In an exclusive interview at his office, NRM Electoral Commission Chairman and former Makerere University History Don Tanga Odoi blamed the unpaid salaries crisis going on in the NRM party currently on ghost workers with in the party.
He particularly said most of the ghost workers about 70 of them are specifically attached to the office of the Secretary General Kasule Lumumba blaming them for taking a lot of money and doing no real work.
Odoi said unlike his Electoral commission staff that is crucial to party operations and has a vote to protect in the upcoming Jinja East MP by election, the staff in the Secretary General’s office is by and large redundant despite them being a large number which is 70 yet his office only has 27 staff.
He went ahead to claim the Secretary General even has cutex boys as part of her paid staff and blamed her weaknesses in administration to having never worked in a very organised setting like he did while he was still at Makerere University.
As a result Odoi says the Secretary General doesn’t understand how an administrative chain of command operates thus her failings at the secretariat insisting though that she is a good field political mobiliser and knows how to pull followers when it comes to politics in the field partly thanks to her exceptional dancing skills.
