Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has today released the 2017 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results at the Office of the President Auditorium.
Dan Odongo, the UNEB Executive Secretary has revealed that there has been a decrease in performance of 2017 candidates compared to 2016 candidates.
He has further said 98 percent of the candidates that sat for the 2017 exams qualify for the UACE certificates.
Prof Mary Okwakol, the UNEB chairperson has also noted that 79 candidates from 24 centers have had their results withheld due to suspected examination malpractice.
According to Okwakol, the most common forms of breaches during the A Level (Senior 6) exams were external assistance, substitution and smuggling of unauthorized materials into exam rooms. Sub-maths, biology andeconomics were the most affected subjects.
