The Parish priest of St. Joseph Catholic Parish Lweza along Entebbe Road, Fr John Mary Vianney Mugabo, succumbed to cancer on Monday at Nsambya Hospital in Kampala.
Chairperson of Laity of Lweza Parish James Vincent Kamwesiga confirmed the news in a message to parishioners. “Dear Parishioners, it is now confirmed that our Parish priest /Dean Rev. Fr. John Vianney Mugabo is Dead. Burial is tentatively Wednesday at Lweza Parish,” he said.
By the time of his death, Fr Mugabo has served as a catholic priest for 22 years. He is been described by people known to him as a humble, hardworking and generous man of God.
