The highly anticipated second edition of Little Miss Uganda pageant is expected to take place this Saturday at Silver Springs Hotel in Bugolobi.
Organized by Eminent Brands LTD, 20 young beauty queens are up on the heels to see who will take home this year’s crown.
As an annual pageant, Little Miss Uganda seeks to give a face to the Ugandan kids through pageantry by engaging talented young kids, unveiling a passion for promoting their region both locally and internationally.
Ms Kyomuhendo Jullian Trisha, the Director Little Miss Uganda LTD says after realizing that little kids were not catered for when it came to beauty events, they came up with an idea of Little Miss Uganda to fill the gap that has always been created between adults and children.
“Until last year, Uganda had never held a Little Miss Uganda pageant and yet they always organized pageants like Miss Uganda, Miss Tourism and Miss Heritage among others; which have only given opportunity to people above 18 years meaning the kids had never been given an opportunity to participate in such events,” noted Ms Kyomuhendo.
“Therefore, this serves to fill that gap that has always been created between the children and the adults,” she added.
She further reveals that the pageant aims to empower the young girl child to realize their potential through a competitive yet collaborative effort by building their confidence through providing professional opportunities and guidance.
The pageant features various activities including a media launch, a Boot camp (Trainings in Cat walking/modeling, Dancing and choreography, Parenting, Games and sports), Unveiling (Little Miss Uganda contestants) and lastly the grand finale were the little Miss Uganda Queen is crowned.
This year’s edition is proudly sponsored by Eminent Brandz LTD, Silver Springs Hotel, Hair By Zziwa, Soul Image Art, My Kid is a Superstar and Balungi Fashion & Design.
