Female sports stars Docus Inzikuru and Annet Kabasindi have joined hands to help out the young stars in a female  sports clinic that is taking place at Gayaza Junior School.

Inzikuru was seen in the morning giving aerobics and road work skills to  young stars who were later on handled by Javelin ever star Annet Kabasindi.

The clinic is expected to last for a full week which shall end on the 17th on December 2017 where kids shall be given various skills in disciplines of over 17.

Nakate Fiona, the finance and marketing officer of the Uganda Women and Youth Empowerment program said that the clinic is good to the kids though many parents find it hard to trust them due to the fact that it takes place in the holiday of the third term yet it is the period that is full of parties and arrangements for Christmas.

“I must say that this time round the numbers have increased though we still lack sponsorship” noted Nakate.

The clinic teaches leadership skills among children and through the process they elect leaders who feel they have confident.

Woodball, football, badminton, basketball, self defense, and hockey are among the various disciplines that are taught.

When asked how she feels to train the young stars, Kabasindi said it is healthy and good for bringing up a child. It is on this note that she requested all stars retired and active to join hands in bringing up the young generation.

“This is a door to many opportunities for this child. We progressed when we did not have clinics like these. But guess what happens when these are available.” Kabasindi cautioned.

On this note she called upon all parents to work together with them to make sure that children’s talents are boosted up.

The theme for this year’s clinic is “girl empowerment through sports and leadership” and each child is supposed to pay for UGX150, 000 which helps in accommodation, first aid as well as feeding and branding for the full week.
