Former Democratic Party (DP) Legal Advisor Joseph Balikudembe Mukasa of Balikuddembe & Co. Advocates has passed on.
The senior counsel died on Thursday at Nsambya Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
He led the DP Legal Team which crushed Article 269 which paved way for Ugandans return to Multi-party democracy in 2005.
Balikuddembe was DP Vice President General, Buganda Region 2005-2010.
He was Nyonyi Nakinsige Representative in Buganda Lukiiko from 1992-1996. He was a Representative in Buganda Lukiiko upto the time of his death. He was Deputy Speaker Mmengo Lukiiko.
He was also Legal Advisor to Bataka Committee that recommended on election of Lukiiko based on Masaza.
