When a famous director is in charge of a production where performers are from three continents, it is difficult to resist the temptation to be part of the audience.
And you guessed it right, tickets for the show “At Home in the World” showing at Ndere Centre tomorrow evening, have sold out.
For the past week, performers from Uganda, US and Japan have been working together, learning from each-other and having fun during rehearsals for a production that is aimed at drumming support for Ashinaga’s Africa Leadership Scholarship.
The unique collaborative concert will take place on Tuesday, 23rd of August, at the Ndere Centre, in Kisaasi, a Kampala suburb.
For the first time, sounds of the Japanese Taiko drums, American sensational singers and talented Ugandan dancers, will share a stage in Kampala. They will be directed by none other than John Caird, the legendary director of Les Misérables and Nicholas Nickleby.
The concert will be attended by prominent business people, diplomats, NGO men and women, academia, media, among others.
No wonder, being part of this concert is going to be such a moment for many.
