Ugandan President has appointed Brigadier Dick Prit Olum as the new Defence Advisor in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in a move to keep an eye on the developments in the eastern neighbor, always a breeding spot for war especially in the eastern regions.
In a statement made by UPDF media team and communicated by Lt Col Deo Akiiki the deputy military spokesman, Brig Olumu is replacing the late Brig. Geoffrey ‘Taban’ Kyabihende who passed away early August this year.
Brig Olum who has been the Commanding Officer of the 3rd Division based in Moroto, since April 2015, has previously served as the commander of the UPDF contingent in Somalia from June 2013 to Nov 2014.
