This weekend, August 21, the first Rolex Festival will take place.
And it has received the endorsement of the ministry of tourism.
The state minister for tourism, Godfrey Kiwanda Ssubi, says the Kampala Rolex Festival will create more demand for the rolex as a fast food and rolex-making as a commercial activity.
Kiwanda, while drumming up support for the festival showed off his rolex eating skills.
He said tourists that come to the country will seek the rolex, he asked rolex makers to be more hygienic.
The Kampala Rolex festival is slated to take place at the Uganda Museum on Kira Road.
“It’s the first of its kind, come and experience this fun event as we celebrate Rolex in Uganda Africa”, say organizers.
Entrance fee is 10k and the event will kick off from 10am to 10pm.
The Rolex was recently featured on CNN as one of the fastest rising fast food in Africa.
