The Executive Director of Uganda Media Centre Ofwono Opondo has said the flash bang grenades being thrown at opposition MPs’ homes could be own scare tactics by legislators to frame government.
Opondo’s comment comes at a moment when two anti age limit bill MPs Bobi Wine and Allan Sewanyana homes were last night attacked and explosives thrown in their compounds not forgetting Rubaga North MP Moses Kasibante who was also attacked in the same way last week.
According to the government spokesperson, flash bang grenades are used for training purposes since they are not harmful and some opposition elements could have acquired them to frame government.
“Flash bang grenades at opposition MPs’ residences could be own scare tactics to frame government. Flash bang grenades are used for training purposes, not harmful. Some opposition elements could have acquired them,” said Opondo.
