Kansanga based basketball club KIU Titans is yet to face another battle in the National Basketball League [NBL] against Pemba Warriors.
This comes after the mighty Titans smashing UPDF 94-46 win at the YMCA grounds Wandegeya in their previous game that took place on 10th September 2017.
The anticipated game is slated for Friday 22nd September 2017 at the MTN Arena Lugogo where players like Chris Omanye, Collins Kasujja among many more shall show case against former teammates Joshua Etalu and tall man Sam Gombya.
The team coach for the Titans Nyabongo Hamza said the game is not going to be a simple , however he expects a must win.
“Pemba Warriors is not a small team. But we are also prepared and expect a must win” Said Nyabongo.
The Titans are well known for the tight rotations as well as a Zonal defense however much their players seem to understand man to man defense.
Suudi Ulanga, the Titans captain when approached said that the team is set inspite of a few grievances which have not scared them off. He added that the team coach has given them enough training to improve the past mistakes.
When asked about his expectations, Jack Pemba, the warrior’s boss said that he trusts his boys that they will win.
“The last time we met we managed to have a win against the Titans which I believe we shall maintain,” Said Pemba.
What should be noted here is that the win was a one point difference with scores of 75-74 in favor of Pemba Warriors.
Pemba is well known for boosting his fans with drinks and money when things are at worst and normally he gets a positive feedback. Currently Pemba Warriors holds the first position while Titans are third on the NBL table.
