A Chinese woman has been gunned down by two suspected thugs in Mukono after she refused to hand over money as they demanded.
Police say a Chinese national Yang Yeshu working as a cashier had picked money from the bank to pay wages for employees of a steel manufacturing company, known as Nile Steel.
When the thieves failed to get money from her, police say, the thieves shot the woman dead because it could be the suspects were known to the deceased.
A guard at the company has been detained after the thieves accessed the premises on the pretext she wanted to buy iron sheets.
