Mbarara District is in grief this Idd morning after news streamed in that the new district Kadhi Muhammad Sheikh Ahmed Kwikiriza has perished in a motor accident on his way to lead Idd prayers.
An upbeat Sheikh Ahmed left his home on Friday morning to lead prayers at Mbarara Municipalities main mosque but he met his end in a terrible accident. He was in his official car, which was left badly damaged.
The Muslim community is celebrating Idd Aduha across the world this Friday. Mbarara, one of the biggest towns in Uganda, has a big Muslim community.
