Minister of Ethics and Integrity Simon Lokodo has operationalized the Pornography Control Committee to monitor and sensitize people about the dangers of pornography. This comes after government approved the funds.
Mid last year, Parliament approved a shs2.6 billion budget to institute a Pornography Control Committee and purchase a machine to detect pornographic content in the country.
The government named a seven-person pornography control team as provided for by Anti-Pornography.
“The Pornography Control Committee ensures that the perpetrators of pornography are apprehended & prosecuted,” Lokodo said.
Lokodo today told journalists during a press briefing that the pornography detection machine which cost shs300 million will arrive in the country very soon.
