The Democratic Party (DP) under the presidency of Norbert Mao has officially expelled Kampala City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago from the party.
The development was revealed by the party’s Secretary General Gerald Siranda who told journalists on Tuesday at the party headquarters in Kampala that Lukwago is no longer a party member.
Siranda said Lukwago has been giving DP a bad image ever since he decided to defect from the party for two times thus standing as Kampala Lord Mayor on an independent ticket.
“DP no longer recognizes Lukwago as its member unless he reapplies again,” revealed Siranda.
