High Court has on Monday afternoon acquitted former Tabliq leader sheikh Yunus Kamoga and 13 others of murder.
The judgement has been delivered by three International Crimes Division court judges who include Ezekiel Muhanguzi, Percy Tuhaise and Jane Kiggundu.
Kamoga and group had been indicted for terrorism, murder and attempted murder of fellow Muslim clerics.
According to prosecution, Kamoga and co-accused allegedly conspired on December 28, 2014, to murder Sheikh Mustafa Bahiga at Bwebajja, Wakiso district.
They purportedly also plotted and murdered Kirya on June 30, 2015 at Bweyogerere Trading Centre in Wakiso.
The acquitted include; Sheikh Siraje Kawooya, Sheikh Muhammad Yunus Kamoga, Sheikh Murta Mudde Bukenya, Sheikh Fahad Kalungi, Amir Kinene, Hakim Kinene Muswaswa, Yusuf Kakande, Sheikh Abdulsalam Sekayanja, Abdulhamid Mubiru Sematimba,Hamza Kasirye,Twaha Ssekitto,Rashid Jjingo, Musa Issa Mubiru, and George William Iga.
Meanwhile, Kamoga and five others have been convicted of terrorism and their sentence will be determined tomorow.
