The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) President Moses Magogo has said that they offered to double former Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s pay in a bid to keep him but he rejected it.
While addressing the media today, Magogo revealed that when Micho expressed his intention to part ways with Fufa, they did everything possible to convince him stay and in the due process they offered to double his pay but he rejected it.
He has also appointed Moses Basena and Fred Kajoba as Uganda Cranes interim coaches.
“The outstanding amount that we owe Micho is $54,000. When Micho expressed to part ways with us, we sat and offered to double his pay in a bid to keep him but he rejected it. Moses Basena and Fred Kajjoba will take on the mantle as interim coaches for the National team,” said Magogo.
Micho officially resigned last week on Saturday citing outstanding debt of salary and bonuses of Shs 230million.
