Kyadondo East MP Bobi Wine will on Wednesday join youthful organizers of the Uganda International Cultural Tourism Fair 2017 to drum up support for the event taking place this weekend.
Bobi, who has an army of young and old admirers, is one of the proudest men of their Kiganda culture, that he baptized himself, omubanda wa kabaka.
The New MP, according to organizers, will attend the last press briefing about the event, which is running its second edition.
Uganda International Cultural Tourism Fair 2017 already enjoying the support of the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga. Gates will be opening at Uganda Museum, starting Friday 28 to Sunday 30. Entrance is Sh5000 and Sh2000 for students.
Betty Aliba, one of the organizers said the purpose of the cultural tourism fair is to create a platform where Ugandan culture alongside other cultures can appreciate our cultural diversity and to learn and benchmark from other cultures. While Moses Bakora, the marketing and media manager for the event, emphasized that theme for this year will be “Cultures Empowering Each Other”.
Bakora said there will be 55 unique cultures of Uganda depicting their cultural richness through foods, music, dance, poetry, fashion, storytelling and others.
