Tourism state minister Godfrey Kiwanda has started his job with zeal.
Kiwanda is getting to master every part of his job, and the tourism fraternity is upbeat about his enthusiasm. Today he launched a campaign to increase tourist arrivals from 1.3 million to five at Entebbe zoo and took a photograph which is making rounds on social media.
Kiwanda lent his face to the chimpanzee painting which made him look like the ape.
Kiwanda later visited Civil Aviation Authority where he called for Ugandanisation of Entebbe International Airport.
By that he meant to brand the airport to reflect Uganda.
“We have an interest and stake in Uganda Tourism Board and also a place as Board Members. For this reason we call for more support to Uganda Tour Operators so that they can continue marketing destination Uganda,” said Dr Rama Makuza, CAA Uganda’s managing director.
