Uganda National Roads Authority has impounded over 13 trucks for being overloaded.
John Bosco Sejjemba, who headed the operation, says the overloaded trucks are responsible for the early destroying of roads.
The operations took place in Karamoja region.
Sejjemba says he was forced to act after the companies refused to comply with the directive. He said most trucks are owned by Bakaluba Technical Services loaded with stones.
