A number of top city pastors are in fear for their lives after receiving death threats from fellow pastors who accuse them of stealing their followers.
One of the aggrieved pastors Bro. Ronnie Makabai of ETM International Church ON Salama Road in Makindye said for a while now, rival pastors have been sending threatening messages pinpointing to kill him.
He noted that on several occasions, some Kampala top pastors have tried to kill him but he has been surviving on God’s mercy and recently some unknown people attacked his home in Kitende, along Entebbe Road with the main aim of killing him. Fortunately, he was not home by the time they attacked thus finishing their anger on vandalizing his property and killing of his domestic fowls.
“The pastors who want to kill me use unknown people who always trail me using a boda boda and I have survived being killed three times now. They also threaten me through phone calls and I have already reported the matter to IGP Kale Kayihura,” said Makabai.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Emilian Kayima, its true police have been receiving reports indicating that some pastors want to kill their fellow pastors over followers.
He said Police is working on this matter and that as soon as possible they will come up with a solution to the wanting issue.
Apparently police has not yet arrested any culprit.
