The Pepsi National beach soccer league comes back this Sunday 17th of June 2017 on the quarter finals level.
This time round, surprising but true, universities have booked more slots than individual and company clubs.
Muteesa 1 Royal university, Kampala international university [KIU], St Laurence University, Makerere University Business school [MUBS],YMCA as well as Nkumba have all expressed their interest for the trophy.
Phoebe Kutamba, the beach soccer league manager is happy with this stake.
‘’Personally I’m happy with whoever has come to the quarter finals. Many have tried but have failed. Those who have made it still have a point to prove. So it is not a flat surface.’’ Said Kutamba.
The games shall take place at Lido beach Entebbe and the fixture shall be as follows.
YMCA Vs. Kabalagala Rangers at 11:00am
MUBS vs. Stormers at 12:00PM
Nkumba Select vs. KIU, a university derby at 2:00PM
Muteesa 1 Royal University vs. St Laurence, another university derby at 3:00PM
The semi finals shall be played on the same day where the winner in the quarter final one shall play against winner in the quarter final two. The winner in quarter final 3 shall play against winner in quarter final 4.
This indicates that these universities are still entertaining the spectators since according to the fixture; they still have to meet at the semi finals.
