Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) has organized a private equity and venture capital conference in order to teach Ugandans about investment and alternative financing options for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) at hotel Africana starting on 20th to 23rd June 2017.
Jolly Kaguhangire the Executive Director of UIA said that the conference will be aiming at teaching Ugandans the available investment opportunities and the private and sector equities will exhibit their products through out the three days of the conference.
“The key requirements for a private sector to succeed are; build an entrepreneur society, cultivate a saving and investment culture, work on the integrity quotient and work on good leadership and governance,” Kaguhangire said.
She added that UIA has been preparing that conference for the past two years and this is the third time which is going to focusing on finding alternative financing sources for a domestic entrepreneur.
“This conference will help small and medium enterprises to know how to handle their finances, learning how to invest in profiting businesses and many other financing options which will help you expand your investment network,” Kaguhangire said.
She further added that the conference will be crowned up with the INVESTOR OF THE YEAR AWARDS GALLA dinner on 23rd at hotel Africana.
