President Yoweri Museveni has told some people to hang themselves if they think government didn’t build some of the roads with taxpayers’ money.
While delivering a State of Nation speech, Museveni said there are many roads that have been constructed without borrowing citing that if he was to give the whole list, people would collapse.
” You can go hang yourself if you think we didn’t build some of these roads with our own money. These roads and many others have been constructed without borrowing. If I read the whole list, you might collapse,” said Museveni.
” Development of infrastructure is crucial because it lowers costs of doing business in an economy thus high profits. We have tarmacked these roads without borrowing funds: Kampala-Mityana, Kla-Masaka, Kampala-Kafu, Karuma-Gulu, Jinja-Kamuli, Iganga-Kaliro. We are using our money in the process of tarmacking Soroti-Katakwi-Moroto, Mubende-Kakumiro roads etc,” He added.
