President Yoweri Museveni has donated his books titled ‘Sowing the Mustard Seeds’ to government aided secondary schools.
According a statement by Ministry of Education & Sports, President Museveni donated copies of his book to be distributed in government aided schools in a move aimed at ‘enlightening school going youth about ‘our national history which is critical to laying a firm foundation for responsible citizenship’.
All government aided schools will receive at least two copies of the book.
‘Sowing the Mustard Seed’ was published in 1997 and it is largely based on a series of interviews Museveni gave to Kevin Shillington, a British publisher at the end of the Bush War in 1986 which was later transcribed with the help of State House.
In 2016, the president launched a second edition of the book and he talks about his childhood, education and family, his early involvement in politics and comrades he fought with and those that he worked with in the early days of the NRA struggle.
