On Labour Day, Operation Wealth Creation Chief Coordinator Gen Salim Saleh gave people a dose of laughter when he fidgeted while trying to decorate Afrigo Band’s Joanita Kawalya with an independence medal.
It took minutes for the anxious war hardened General to place a medal on the left hand side of Kawalya’s chest.
Probably he feared to have a knock on the singer’s ‘pointed breast’.
Kawalya was recognized for her contribution to Uganda’s social-economic transformation through music. Band mate Moses Matovu was also decorated on the same function.
The function took place at Pope Paul Memorial Grounds in Rubaga.
