Kampala International University [KIU] has completed signing a partnership that will allow its medical students to be referred to the Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi, India.
This was confirmed by the university vice chancellor Dr. Mohamed Mpezamihingo in a press conference that was held during weekend at the Kansanga based main campus KIU.
The Vice Chancellor said that on visiting the Apollo Hospital, they established potential activities for partnerships in which the said hospital was the most outstanding.
“Apollo hospital is eagerly willing to organize collective community oriented health care activities with KIU” said Dr. Mpezamihingo.
The move was achieved during the Vice Chancellors’ visit to India where Sharda University was among the visited universities.
“Sharda University is a teaching and dental hospital and they are willing to offer student and staff exchange” He said.
“KIU medical students can go for practice and acquire better skills from India as well as students from India can come to Uganda,” Dr. Mpezamihingo added.
On his trip, he also managed to contact other various medial universities which are willing to offer services to KIU. Such include; the university of Madras, University of Kerala, Patil University among many more.
