President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has left for Qatar on a three day state visit.

The president was accompanied by the First Lady Janet Museveni.

They are leaving for a three day state visit in Qatar at the invitation of the Emir.

Qatar is a rich small country with a success story from its good use of its oil wealth.

The first couple was seen off by the vice president Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi and other various government officials.

Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani is the eighth and current Emir of Qatar and the fourth son of the late Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani his father the former emir.

Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani became Emir of Qatar on 25th June 2013.
