President Yoweri Museveni has finally written a dismissal letter to alleged corrupt State Minister for Labour, Employment and Industrial relations Herbert Kabafunzaki.
In a letter dated 11 April, 2017, Museveni decided to immediate effect suspend Kabafunzaki out of his cabinet following a bribery case against him.
“Following the recent allegations of your involvement in corrupt practices, I have with immediate effect suspended you from performing duties as a Minister of State for Labour until Court has determined the matter,” President Museveni said.
“In view of the above, you should, therefore, immediately hand over your office to the substantive minister,” He further added.
On Saturday, Kabafunzaki was netted red handed while taking a bribe from AYA boss Hamid Muhammad after promising him that he was going to clear his name from the sexual harassment allegations.
On Tuesday, the Anti Corruption Court remanded him to Luzira but on Wednesday he was released on bail.
