Uganda National roads Authority has met with its stake holders at the Protea hotel in kampala today to discuss on the development of the Kampala Bombo Expressway project.
UNRA said that the project is one link that will facilitate traffic flow and mobility away from city centre and establish better connectivity.
Allen Kagina the Executive Director of UNRA said that the expressway will reduce travel time for transporting imports via Kenya to Uganda and other land locker nations.
“We’re looking at a design speed of 120 km/ hr and access I control to ensure safe operations of the expressway.” Kagina said.
The Kampala Bombo expressway will facilitate mobility and trade between Kampala and other major towns like Bombo, Masindi, Gulu and neighboring countries like Sudan and DR Congo.
