Makerere University are aiming to collecting maximum points when they travel to Kampala International University at Nsambya grounds, Wednesday in the Nile Special University Football League.
Makerere were forced to settle for a 3-3 draw against Busitema University which didn’t appease coach Bamwenyana as KIU opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw with UCU.
Deo Bamweyana is now optimistic of victory over Kampala International University and claims its time to fight on.
“I was impressed with the spirited fight of the team against Busitema, and against KIU the fight automatically continues for the three points.
Kampala International University however, is ready to fight on until the last second of the game against Makerere to get the three points at home with their coach Geoffrey Akabwai saying he has ironed out the mistakes of the first game
“We are trying to play football the way we can, despite failing in the first game. We lacked coordination and first games are always challenging.
“We have rectified the mistakes of the first game and points will come our way in this big fixture”, said Akabwai.
Makerere will be looking to extending their impressive run against KIU whom they have a superior record over in recent years having won almost all of their previous meetings.
