Amelia Kyambadde, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives has urged the people to stop dodging paying taxes.
She said this at a Business conference held at Imperial Royal hotel in Kampala on Monday while discussing about business ideas concerning importation and exportation of goods in Uganda.
Kyambadde said that the people who keep dodging paying taxes lose a lot of opportunities to market their goods outside Uganda.
“The more you dodge paying taxes the more you lose money that you can get from outside your country.” Kyambadde said.
The conference was organized by private import and export sectors to discuss about the ways to help the exchange of goods in Uganda and abroad.
“We should utilize the chances of investors to get jobs and increase on our income, the investors must have 40 % of employees which are Ugandan.” kyambadde added.
