Huawei’ s Ms. Mutebi Priscilla presented on the Role of Cyber Security in Enabling Sustainable ICT Transformation during the NCC 2023. She discussed about the link between sustainable ICT transformation and cyber security, presented some examples on cyber-attacks and ways to mitigate some of these attacks.
Ms. Mutebi explains that, “Cyber security is the protection of individuals, organisations and governments from digital attacks by shielding networked systems and data (hardware, software or electronic data) from unauthorized use and or harm.”
The main take away from the cyber security session is that “all is great but we must be mindful of our safety”. Cyber security is a necessary condition to ensure a safe and sustainable future for everyone.
