Today Police blocked all routes to Ngora district stopping former Presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye who had planned to join a belated celebration of International Women’s Day organized by the Forum for Democratic Change-FDC party.
The celebration was due to be held at Koloin Primary School, Kapir Sub County in Ngora district. It was expected that Besigye would preside over the event and later hold rallies in selected districts within the region.
However, to police’s dismay Besigye managed to beat the security thus arriving in Ngora unnoticed at the home of Mzee Philip Ekemu where he laid wreaths at the final resting places of Philip Ekemu and son Charles Ekemu.
Apparently, Besigye is still touring the district in company of Mubarak Munyagwa and Amuriat Oboi.
