CAF Champions League (1st Round):
KCCAFC started their journey to the CAF champions league this morning with the flag off at the Philip Omondi stadium.
In a game that will take place on 10th March 2017 against Denis Masinde Onyango’s Mamelodi Sundowns FC in the first leg at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, Pretoria.
According to Mike Mutebi, the club coach, the team is in good shape and is ready to face any challenger.
In the second leg, at Philip Omondi stadium in Kampala, KCCAFC will host the Mamelodi Sundowns in the return game that is expected to host big crowds.
It should be noted that Onyango, the Cranes and Africa’s number one goalkeeper kept a clean sheet during Mamelodi Sundowns’ 1-0 victory over DR Congo side TP Mazembe in the CAF Super Cup match played in South Africa.
KCCAFC is a team that is seen as a force that has an army of fans though surprisingly, the competitor Mamelodi Sundowns is more likely to have its fans here in Uganda too due to the name Denis Masinde Onyango
