Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago,opposition MPs; Allan Ssewanyana, Moses Kasibante and Mubarak Munyagwa have been arrested by police at Park yard market where they had joined traders in protest over the Park Yard market land row.
The arrested have been whisked away to a no disclosed destination.
The arrest comes just a day after minster in charge of Kampala, Beti Kamya wrote a letter ordering the vendors to vacate Park yard on grounds that the land belongs to Nakivubo Stadium and that government has plans to develop it.
Others arrested include Kampala Capital City Authority councilors.
