RwandAir aircraft from Nairobi skidded off the runway on touchdown at Entebbe International Airport on Wednesday morning.
Uganda Civil Aviation Authority(UCAA), says the incident happened at 5:31 am and it involved Rwanda Air CRJ 9 aircraft, flight number 464 that veered off the runway on landing due to bad weather.
According to the management of the Aviation Authority, all the passengers were disembarked safely and the situation is currently under control.
“The second (alternate) runway 12/30 is operational for small and light aircraft.All efforts are underway to remove the aircraft from the runway strip so that the main runway can return to full use,” the management said on Wednesday.
