The ruling party in Uganda, National Resistance Movement (NRM) has vowed to lock the main opposition out of the East African Legislative Assembly.
Instead, it seems NRM has resolved to back Denis Mukasa Mbidde (DP), Susan Nakawuki (independent), and Chris Opoka (UPC).
While appearing on NBS television’s Frontline show, NRM spokesman Ofwono Opondo and the party’s Electoral commission chairman Tanga Odoi, said, they’ll teach FDC a lesson for refusing to recognise President Museveni’s victory.
Opondo said Mbidde, Nakawuki and Opoka should be retained in EALA for continuity since NRM was sending entirely a new team.
Tanga said since FDC had refused to cooperate with them, they should face the music of staying in the cold.
