I lost my wedding rings (please don’t ask me how or where I lost them) and now I find myself having to explain to everyone why I am not putting on my rings. Friends even go to the extent of asking if I am having extra marital affairs, if I am cheating on my husband!
Rachel, my best friend was even very quick to give me advice concerning that “new direction” that I was taking. She said,”Stella,if you are cheating on your husband, just make sure it is worth it,that guy better be good, he should be an expert at ‘it’. (every girl deserves such a friend in life).
So,yes I am married, but for some reasons, I lost my wedding rings,my ring finger is ‘naked’ but that does not mean that I am having an affair, that I am cheating on my husband! Putting on a ring does not stop one from having an affair (if they want) and neither does not putting on a ring mean that you are having affairs outside of your marriage. The decision to stay true and faithful to your partner comes from the heart. It is a personal decision and once you’ve set out to cheat on your partner, not even your wedding ring will stop you.
But just to make it clear to everyone(since that is what society thinks),I need to have my rings replaced as soon as possible just to clear people’s minds.
