Tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia is not taking anything for granted following his losing a number of properties including a bank and real estate.
There is word going around that the once Forbes-listed businessman could face charges including economic crimes, and Sudhir is not taking such rumours lightly.
Already, according to reliable sources, the tycoon has lined up a number of law firms to defend him in case the state goes ahead to slap charges on him.
Sudhir’s woes started last year when Bank of Uganda took Cranes Bank from him, and this year, they handed it over to DfCU bank. Also, some of his properties have been attached to raise money that the Central bank believes should be credited on the bank’s balance sheet.
Sudhir has been meeting a number of lawyers consulting on the next course of action. It is not clear if Sudhir him would drag BoU to court, but what is true is that Sudhir is preparing himself for a mother of battles as he and his lawyers are combing every document necessary to prove his accusers wrong.
