Confederations of African Football (CAF) has cleared the Philip Omondi to host continental games.
The 10,000 capacity sitter will host KCCA FC’s preliminary round first leg of the 2017 Total CAF Championship League slated for February 7th 2017.
KCCA FC management has spent the last two months improving the facility in a bid to beat the CAF deadline, which they managed to do.
“As you are aware CAF inspected your stadium (on Saturday 28th January 2017) which you had proposed to host your CAF Competition match on the weekend of 10th – 12th February 2017. CAF has permitted the use of the Philip Omondi Stadium to be used for the CAF CL matches,” Read part of the statement from FUFA dated February 2nd 2017 and signed by the federation CEO
